Nevada Middle School student Kye Smith recently competed in the National History Day National Contest, held at the University of Maryland campus from June 9-13. The contest brought together nearly 3,000 students from across all 50 states to share their research on historical topics aligned with this year’s theme “Turning Points in History”. Kye presented his individual website titled “Herbert Boyer and Stanley Cohen: Catalysts for GMO Technology.” This national competition marked the culmination of a competition series at the local, district, and state levels, where all students in Mr. Davis’s 8th-grade History class participated. Congratulations on your achievement and competing at the National Contest, Kye!
