On April 15th, 2024 – the Nevada Streets/Infrastructure construction project will begin.  That morning, the following streets will be closed off:

  • 9th Street from I to H Avenue
  • I Avenue from 8th to 9th Street

This will impact our traffic pattern for student drop off and pick-up.  We understand that there will be some adjustments and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation and flexibility.  We are planning to have more staff outside to assist with traffic flow.

    1. Note that at the bottleneck of the parking lot by the flagpole, we need cars to alternate and go through one vehicle at a time

Additionally, please be aware that the intersection of H Avenue and 9th Street may experience occasional closures, potentially affecting access routes to Central Elementary.

Morning Preschool

Drop Off

  • Location will be the same (SW Corner by Bike Racks)
  • Parents will need to find a place to park and walk their child to the location
  • Parents will use the East exit

Pick Up

  • Bus location will be the same (Bus Lane North of the School)
  • Parent location will be the same
    • Parents will need to find a place to park and walk to the location
  • Parents will use the East exit

Afternoon Preschool

Drop off

  • Bus location will be the same (Front Doors)
  • Parent location will be the same (Front Doors)
    • Parents will need to find a place to park and walk to the location
  • Parents will use the East exit

Pick Up

  • Drop off will be a few minutes later to allow other parents and staff to exit the parking lot
  • Parents will pick up their child at the front doors
    • Parents can park and walk to the location to get their child
    • Parents can pull up in their vehicle and get their child into the car
    • Parents will use the East exit
