I have been teaching at Nevada Middle School since 2008. Previously I have taught math, science, health, and language arts in 6th grade and multiage. I currently teach 7th-grade science. Prior to working in the Nevada School District, I worked for Youth and Shelter Services as the mentoring facilitator. I also taught 4th and 5th grades in Boone from 1993-1996.
I am a 1993 graduate of Iowa State University~GO CYCLONES! I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education with an endorsement to teach middle school science.
My husband Nick and I live with our three children Alex, Madison, and Luke, in the country outside Nevada. We also have two dogs, Penny and Zeus as well as a cat, Popcorn.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and watching my kids' events. Cooking brings me joy and you can find me on the weekends making lots of food for my family. I love to travel and spend time boating and fishing. One of my bucket list trips is going to Canada to fish for walleye!
