My name is Christine Heintz. I joined the staff at Nevada Middle School in the fall of 2015 teaching 5th and 6th grade band.
I grew up on a farm outside of Cambridge and graduated from Ballard Community Schools. I received my Bachelor's in Music Education from Iowa State University and later completed my Masters of Music
Education from Boston University. My teaching career began at Baxter where I was responsible for 5-12 band. I then spent a couple of years teaching 6-8 band at Saydel. I learned a great deal about the progression of band students throughout their instrumental music experience and feel fortunate to now put that knowledge toward my passion of teaching beginning band students. I love teaching the beginners due to their excitement and energy and was very excited to join the band program here at Nevada.
My husband and I live on a farm where we raise corn, soybeans, and lowline cattle (miniature Angus). We have a son, Warren. Outside of school I enjoy gardening, repurposing/DIY, and reading.
