I grew up in north central Iowa in the small town of Swea City. After graduating from North Kossuth, I followed my sibling's footsteps and attended the University of Northern Iowa where I studied the social sciences and secondary education. After graduating college, I started my teaching career in Shenandoah, then moved to Manning for seven years and eventually ended up in Nevada in 2008. I currently teach U.S. History, Economics, and AP U.S. History. I also keep myself busy coaching high school cross-country and girl's track. Everyday is seen as an adventure and I work hard to show that every student can achieve success.
