Colonel Eric Forsyth is the Chief, Space Force Enhancement Division, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Washington, D.C. He directs the development and procurement of military satellite and terminal communication systems as well as the next generation of Air Force weather satellite systems.
Colonel Forsyth, a native of Nevada, Iowa, entered the Air Force through the University of Michigan’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Over the course of his career he has served in engineering, program management and staff assignments at the laboratory, product center, Headquarters Air Force, and U.S. Special Operations Command levels. In these roles he has led the development and procurement of numerous technologies and weapon systems, including classified air, space, munitions and avionics systems as well as the CV-22 and C-130 special operations aircraft. In addition, he served as the Director of Staff for the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing during the final transition of U.S. forces from Iraq.
Colonel Forsyth is married to Michelle (Wade) Forsyth of Indianapolis, Indiana. They have two children: Maxwell and Kathryn.
